The white camellia, a flower whose perfect shape makes one forget its lack of scent, was Gabrielle Chanel’s emblem, appearing in many of her creations: on the brim of a hat, a buttonhole or a piece of jewelry. In 1925, she designed a composition in its image and called it GARDÉNIA.
